Preview  Boulder Dash EX
- By Dan Doll [Editor In Chief]

Kemco is set to revitalize the Boulder Dash franchise this September with its GBA-only title, Boulder Dash EX.

Players search through caves filled with both treasures and enemies in EX (Puzzle or Battle) or Classic mode.

EX mode features the GBA's scaling and rotating abilities, allowing players to see all around them as they explore more than 100 levels.

Aside from just being a flashy gimmick, Kemco said, "The Magic Stone, an in-game hidden object, allows players to rotate the screen a full 90 degrees, as well as enlarge or shrink the picture giving the player a better view of the game screen."

Battle Mode allows as many as four players to link together on a single cart for head-to-head(-to-head-to-head) action.

Developed by Vision Works, Boulder Dash is scheduled for release in September.
