Preview  Sheep
- By Dan Doll [Editor In Chief]

So you play as a sheep dog.

. . .

Still with me?

OK, you play as a collie, either Patty (fast but lacking power) or Harry (well-balanced), and it is your task to herd sheep through a series of increasingly complex mazes. Do well and you can even unlock a third herder, a pig.

There are gates to open, streams to leap over and farm equipment to avoid at all costs. You'll get bonus points if you find and successfully herd hidden sheep. Collect golden sheep to enter a flock-building bonus stage.

To get the job done, Capcom has thrown in some helpful sheep-lures, so to speak. These items range from pieces of candy to, believe it or not, a boombox.

Players do whatever it takes to navigate the cute, cartoon landscapes, complete with talking, gossipy Sheep.

Sheep is a definite departure for Capcom (Resident Evil, Devil May Cry... Sheep.), but the game shows promise, in a quirky, Japanese, horse-racing mahjong kind of way.
