Preview  Artifact
- By Dan Doll [Editor In Chief]

It was announced today that Artifact would be the new title for Engine Software's mahjongg tile game, Calculus.

We felt it was only fitting to update the existing preview here.

For features of the game, we take the information directly from Engine Software.

- 50 singleplayer levels + 5 bonusrounds
- All levels are themed in five ancient cultures: Greek, Egypt, Rome, China and Inca
- 8 Time trial levels
- 8 Multiplayer levels
- 3 types of gameplay: Shanghai, Rivers and Memory
- Incredible stereo 'themed' soundtrack

Stereo sound? Might want to dust off the GBA headphones for this one.

What's more, take a look at some of the initial changes in converting from Calculus to Artifact, mainly the boxart and title screen.

There you see the old, Calculus setup. Take a look at the slick editing here, as Engine Software has already updated for Artifact:

Guess you might even say those Calculus shots are nothing more than artifacts, now! Hah!

Eh...

More as it develops.
