Preview  Nickelodeon Party Blast
- By Dan Doll [Editor In Chief]

Infogrames entered the party game genre at E3 alongside Nintendo's Mario Party 4 and Namco's Pac-Man Fever.

Nickelodeon Party Bast differs with a lack of board game. The game is all about mini games and multiplayer action.

Four players play at all times in five different types of games, each with more than ten variations.

The basketball shooting minigame had players stealing and shooting with the A button, and jumping with Y.

Players control one of eight Nickelodeon characters: Angelica, Tommy, Spongebob Squarepants, Invader Zim, Jimmy Neutron, Aliza Thornberry, Otto Rocket, and Reggie Rocket.

Unfortunately, the game is not in complete form and a lot of bugs were present. At one point, a player fell into a hole that should launch him out, but he remained there for nearly five minutes.

To add to the frenzy, players can throw one another to steal points and everyone must avoid the Nickelodeon slime which greatly restricts all movement.

To shake the slime, rotate the joystick like a madman and then get back to tapping A.

It's a button-mashing party game for a younger audience and is scheduled to release on Gamecube and Xbox in time for Christmas. A PS2 version is currently just a possibility.
