Editorials   An Old Man Looks At E3

Every once in a while it is our distinct pleasure here at NPuzzles to offer you something great.

This is not one of those times.

Instead, we have below a preview of E3. As told by an old man.



NPuzzles: Thank you for taking this time to be with us.

Old Man: ...

NPuzzles: Umm, sir, you'll really want to be awake for this... SIR!

Old Man: Eh?

NPuzzles: Alright, with E3 being just two weeks away, lots of gamers are wondering what will happen. What announcements will be made? Specifically, are there any surprises that you would like to see?

Old Man: Surprises? Eh... Well it'd be nice if someone finally fixed the temperature around here. They've had the heat on since September...

NPuzzles: OK... Actually, we'd be more interested in your thoughts on E3 surprises.

Old Man: Surprises of the what now? A man of my age can't do well with surprises. My heart isn't what it used to be.

NPuzzles: I see. What about Rare, then? Do you think there could be any truth to these multi-console rumors that have been floating around? Perhaps someone would be kind enough to clear things up at E3.

Old Man: What?

NPuzzles: I'm sorry?

Old Man: Eh... I don't think I was listening to you.

NPuzzles: Well, it's a question of speculation, anyway. How about opinion? What titles are you looking forward to the most? Although Eternal Darkness will be shown in stripped down form, surely it's enough to get you excited.

Old Man: At my age, boy, you stop getting excited...

NPuzzles: A bit of a jaded gamer, are we? Surely the idea of new Mario and Zelda titles being shown does something for you.

Old Man: ...unless you get these nifty Viagra pills from the doctor. Ever try one of these, boy? Makes me feel like I'm 70 again.

NPuzzles: Right. Speaking of Zelda, after seeing it in motion, have your opinions on the new look changed? What about Link's sly new facial expression. I for one think the animation is great and it looks like the game will be a lot of fun to play.

Old Man: ...

NPuzzles: SIR!

Old Man: Eh? Eh... Quit yelling, boy, I'm trying to sleep. Go home, would ya?

NPuzzles: Alright, thanks for your time. Hopefully we can sit down with you again after E3 and go a little deeper with your post-show opinions. Thanks for having me.

Old Man: ...

NPuzzles: Sir?

Old Man: ...

NPuzzles: Right.
